Police: 1 injured in drive-by shooting near 8th, Benton

KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

One person is in the hospital after what appears to be a drive-by shooting.

Kansas City police say the shooting started at East Eighth Street and Benton Boulevard.

The driver of a silver van was hit, and made it all the way to East Ninth Street and Bales Avenue before being taken to the hospital.

Police said the victim suffered life-threatening injuries.

Investigators haven't released any information about a possible shooter.
