Heart Healthy Citrus Salad

3 C Romaine Lettuce chopped
2 C Spinach Leaves stems removed
½ C Sweet Onions thinly sliced
1 Pint Strawberries quartered
2 Oranges
1 tsp Jesse Vega's All Purpose Spice Blend* (recipe below)
¼ C Bbalsamic Vinegar*
1 TBL Fresh Lemon Juice*
1 TBL Olive Oil
Preparation:
Wash salad greens and chop put in salad spinner or colander and drain well.
Put salad greens in a large bowl and season with spice blend and toss well.
Now add all remaining ingredients and mix and toss to evenly distribute the fruits and liquids. Portion on in a chilled bowl or arrange on a chilled dinner plate and serve. Excellent when served with grilled or poached skinless chicken breast.
*Use the ingredients liberally. Citrus juices and vinegars are always interchangeable.
1 TBL Ground Black Pepper
½ tsp Ground White Pepper
2 TBL Granulated Garlic Powder
1 TBL Granulated Onion Powder
1 TBL Dried Parsley Flakes
1 TBL Dried Chervil Leaves
1 TBL Dried Chives
Chef Jesse Vega's All Purpose Salt Free Spice
Preparation:
Put all ingredients together in a mixing bowl and blend well. Store spice mixture in an air tight container or glass jar until ready to use.
