Reward increases for arrest on Park Hill South threat

Posted: Updated:
KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

Crime Stoppers and Riverside police are asking for information regarding an anonymous threat made against Park Hill South High School last Wednesday that prompted a lockdown.

The school is also offering an additional $200 reward, bringing the total to $1,200, for information that leads to the arrest of the offender who phoned in the threat.

Worried parents raced to the school last week as word got out that the school was dealing with a threat. The school is located off of Interstate 635 and Missouri Highway 9.

The school district's public information officer did not release the nature of the threat, which came in at 12:05 p.m.  The lockdown ended about 2:15 p.m.

Authorities determined there was no danger.  No one was injured.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-TIPS.  TIPS may also be submitted electronically at KCcrimestoppers.com, or by texting TIP452 and your information to 274637 (CRIMES).
