The Atchison County Sheriff's Department has canceled their Silver Alert for a missing 68-year-old man.
About 5:45 p.m. they said they found the body of Raymond Oscar Lindsey. He was found on privately owned land about one mile east of Muscotah, KS. Authorities said there were no apparent sign of foul play.
Lindsey was last seen wearing blue jeans, a T-shirt, a dark-colored jacket and a dark ball cap. He was last seen driving a cream or beige-colored 1989 Ford Ranger pickup truck with a Kansas handicap tag.
Authorities said he never showed up for a doctor's appointment at the Leavenworth VA Hospital Thursday morning and he left his cell phone at home. He had not been taking his depression medication and has a history of attempting to harm himself.
Family members said they also hadn't been able to find two .22 caliber pistols.
