A former Clarksville official could spend the next 20 years behind bars for defrauding the city.
Tommy Walton Jr. was found guilty on 16 counts of mail and wire fraud on Thursday.
Walton was hired as a consultant for the Clarksville Department of Electricity in 2008.
During that time, investigators said he gave more than $51,000 in city earnings back to CDE President Rick Ingram for bribes and kickbacks.
Ingram was also convicted for his role in the scheme and is awaiting sentencing.
