KC family displaced after fire near 61st, Elmwood

KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

Firefighters are investigating a house fire that displaced a family early Wednesday morning.

The fire started shortly before 5:30 a.m. at a home located on East 61st Street and Elmwood Avenue, just east of Swope Parkway on the city's east side.

When firefighters arrived on the scene, the home was fully involved in fire.

A family consisting of one adult and three children were able to get out of the house safely before firefighters arrived.

The fire was called under control about 30 minutes later.

No injuries were reported.
