BLUE SPRINGS, MO (KCTV) -

Crews in Blue Springs spent much of the night cleaning up the aftermath of a wreck on Interstate 70.

The the head-on collision happened about 7:10 p.m. Tuesday.

Officials said a box truck hauling coffee and other restaurant supplies was involved in a head-on collision with a tractor trailer.

Although both vehicles were heavily damaged, only minor injuries were reported.

The accident is still under investigation and the highway is open again Wednesday morning.
