Volunteer Veterinarians spay and neuter 60 animals in a month for WAGS- Westminster Adoption Group and Services.

WAGS Pet Adoption is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization committed to placing homeless animals in forever homes. , http://wagspetadoption.org wants to thank the veterinarian volunteers on for their work to spay and neuter all WAGS pets. Every Wednesday Dr Yamamoto schedules willing Southern California Veterinarians to join Dr. Greenberg, Founder of WAGS, to spay and neuter animals. The volunteer opportunity is held at WAGS Pet Adoption – 6621 Westminster Blvd, Westminster CA. WAGS currently has over 60 pets a month spayed or neutered.
WAGS has worked very hard this past year to adopt out pets, locally and nationally. The staff promotes adoptions thru Pet Finder, WAGS website http://www.wagspetadoption.org and Facebook. Additionally, WAGS is open to visit Tuesday thru Sunday 12-5pm. Families come to see the catteries and puppy play in search of their new furry forever family member. Once a family member spends time with adoptable pets, chooses the pet for them then the application process begins. After the approval process, all agreements are signed and the pet is schedule for spay or neuter for the upcoming Wednesday volunteer doctors.
Wednesday, January 16,2013 two WAGS volunteer veterinarians provided high quality care for shelter animals in order to get them forever homes. Dr. Lance Adams, Head Veterinarian for the Long Beach Aquarium..."I enjoy volunteering my time and it gives me a chance to work on my small animal surgery, and if it helps the animals get a home then that's a bonus!"
Dr. Leah Taylor...."I like volunteering at WAGS because I like the fact that even though WAGS is an animal shelter, they still provide high quality spay and neuters to the pets in their care."
