The gates of Kauffman Stadium won't open for a few more months, but before opening day, Royals fans are getting their chance to rub elbows with Kansas City's Major Leaguers.

Royals FanFest 2013 was held Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Overland Park Convention Center. The first two hours were exclusive to season ticket holders, while doors opened to the public at 11 a.m.

Fans got a chance to meet and get autographs from pitchers Wade Davis, Ervin Santana and James Shields. Also on hand was Bruce Chen, Aaron Crow, Danny Duffy and Luke Hochevar, as well as General Manager Dayton Moore and Manager Ned Yost.

A portion of the proceeds from the event will benefit Royals Charities.
