Train runs over man, killing him

KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

A man was killed when a train ran over him Friday night, police said.

The man was killed about 7:20 p.m. A member of the train's crew said the man was lying across the tracks at 85th Street and Prospect Avenue. The crew tried to stop the train, but could not.

Authorities believe the death was a suicide.
