KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -
Police confirmed that two objects that appeared to be hand grenades were not.
Capt. Steve Young said the person responsible for property at the business found a box with the grenades.
This occurred about 4 p.m. Thursday in the 300 block of East 36th Street in Midtown. The building apparently houses Cornerstones of Care, which is an organization that provides therapeutic treatment services to children and families.
Young said no threat was made.
The objects were inert "and nothing more than potential paperweights," Young said.
Building management evacuated the building before police arrived. Officers closed off Gilham at 36th Street.
