AUBRY, KS (KCTV) -
The Johnson County Sheriffs Department is investigating a head-on crash that injured two people early Thursday morning.
The wreck happened about 6:15 a.m. at the intersection of 199th Street and Switzer Road, just west of Stilwell, KS.
Injuries to both drivers were not life-threatening. One driver had to be cut out of their vehicle. That person was thought to have suffered a broken leg.
It took more than 20 minutes to free the driver. That driver went to Overland Park Regional Hospital.
The other driver had cuts to their head but did not go to a hospital.
Initial reports indicate one of the driver's told deputies they struck some black ice and lost control of their car.
