Fire department called to help worker down from tower

KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

Fire crews were called to help a worker who got stuck on a tower Wednesday evening.

The worker was on either a radio or cell phone tower when he determined he couldn't get back down just after 6 p.m. just off of North Oak Trafficway, near Northeast Evansdale Road. His company notified the fire department who arrived and quickly got him to safety.

The rescue took minutes and no injuries were reported.
