PECULIAR, MO (KCTV) -

The Chiefs have new head football coach Andy Reid. But one 7-year-old Peculiar, MO, girl has something in common with Reid that probably he doesn't even know.

It didn't take 7-year-old Hayden Kurtz very long to become nationally known and she did it with her foot, her arm and her leg.

If anyone watched last week's Seahawks/Falcons playoff game, they probably saw Hayden accepting her trophy for national Punt, Pass and Kick champion. For her age, she was No. 1 in the country.

In fact, new Chiefs head coach Reid once won the same award years and years prior.

Hayden said she loves football and she loves the Chiefs, but when she was on national TV, her friends got impressed.

"Hayden likes participating in any type of sports. She plays competitive softball, soccer, she plays basketball. This was just another venue for her to express her athleticism," her father, Victor Kurtz, said.

At such a young age, Hayden doesn't exactly have dreams of being the first female player in the NFL, but she admits she loves the sport and her future is vast and bright.

"I don't know about football, but she really enjoys sports, any sort of sports, and if that's where she ends up heading some day, then great," Kurtz said.

Hayden's dad said he's sharing the credit for his standout, multi-talented daughter.

"Mom is very talented too," he said. "She (Hayden) is very naturally gifted, the Lord has blessed her with a lot of natural ability."

While football dreams may or may not be in her future, right now Hayden's having a ball.

Hayden beat more than 120 finalists from all over the nation who entered the NFL's Punt, Pass and Kick competition this year.
