Two-car crash kills 89-year-old woman

JOHNSON COUNTY, KS (KCTV) -

A two-car crash killed one person near 119th Street and Interstate-35 Friday evening.

The deadly crash in Johnson County, KS, killed 89-year-old Elaine Smith. The Kansas Highway Patrol said she slammed into the back of another vehicle on southbound I-35.

Nobody in the other car was injured.

The crash caused a major back up just before 7 p.m.

Smith lived in Baldwin City, KS.
