Macaroni Gratin

Ingredients needed:

  • 6oz. large macaroni pasta – cooked al dente
  • 4 oz. Mornay sauce – see recipe
  • Kosher or sea salt (to taste)
  • Ground white pepper
  • 3 thin slices of quality Gruyere cheese
  • 1.5 tbs. dried bread crumbs
  • 2 tbs. cooked bacon (optional)


In a medium sauté pan, over medium heat add Mornay sauce,

1 tbs. bacon, pasta & toss until hot – salt & pepper to taste.

Transfer hot mixture to oven safe gratin dish and top with bread crumbs.

Place in 350 degree oven and back for 8-10 min or until bread crumbs turn golden brown.

Remove from oven and top with reserve bacon and serve immediately. 

(Serves 1-2)
