KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -
A standoff ended about an hour after it began Thursday.
The standoff started just before 1 p.m. when police responded to an outside disturbance involving a woman yelling in the area of Troost Avenue and Armour Boulevard. Officials said someone saw a man dragging a woman into a home about 12:30 p.m.
The standoff started when the suspect initially refused to leave the home. It ended about 2 p.m. when police said they had a suspect in custody.
On officer on scene said he thought some children had to be taken out of the home and they were safe.
