ST. JOSEPH, MO (KCTV) -
James Jones was arrested following a tip called in by a KCTV5 viewer.
Jones was wanted on a Kansas parole violation warrant for rape and aggravated indecent liberties with a child.
He was arrested on Monday by the Buchanan County Sheriff's Department in St. Joseph.
The original offense occurred in Kansas City, KS, during 1999 and involved the sexual assault of a 15-year-old female.
He is a registered sex offender in Wyandotte County, KS, and Buchanan County, MO. He is known to use the alias of James Calhoon.
