KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

Authorities responded to a report of a man armed with a gun inside a Kansas City casino, but found nothing suspicious Thursday afternoon, police said.

Police received an anonymous telephone call about 3 p.m. The caller reported that an employee at the Burger King was armed with a handgun. The Burger King is off the casino floor as one of many restaurants on the casino property.

Both police and Roxann Kinkade, spokeswoman for Ameristar Casino, said officers responded but found no one armed.

Police then left the scene, Kinkade said. She emphasized the safety of guests at the casino.
