Kansas City police investigating shooting, robbery

KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

Detectives are investigating a shooting and robbery in Kansas City.

A man told police he was shot twice in the back about 11:15 a.m. The shooting occurred at 33rd Street and Tracy Avenue.

The victim told investigators he got a phone call telling him to meet some people in the area. According to what he told police, when he got there, two people robbed him of a couple hundred dollars and shot him in the back.

The victim told police that he ran about a block away to get help.

The man is expected to recover.

There's no word at this time on a description of the suspects.
