KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

A 81-year-old woman was killed in wreck on Interstate 35 in downtown Kansas City.

The deadly crash was reported about 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the northbound lanes of I-35 near 20th Street.

Rose A. Sivigliano of Kansas City was driving a black Sonata. She entered the northbound lanes of I-35 going southbound from the Broadway exit. She hit a white truck head on, police said. The truck flipped and struck another northbound vehicle. A fourth vehicle attempting to avoid the truck clipped the Sonata.

Sivigliano died at the scene. Police said no alcohol was involved.

A passenger in her vehicle was injured, but is expected to survive.

The interstate was shut down for almost four hours.

Police are not saying much about what happened, but they do say a passenger was hurt in this accident as well.

The northbound lanes of the interstate were shut down for awhile so crews could clean up.  That stretch of road has since reopened.

No other details are available at this time.
