Puppies rescued from storm drain near police station

Posted: Updated:

A day-long rescue operation has ended outside the police station in North Nashville.

It began when somebody saw a group of puppies huddled in a culvert next to the Metro Police North Precinct.

The animal rescue group East CAN then posted a picture of the puppies on Facebook and a request for help. Soon, folks started showing up to help catch the puppies as they huddled in the storm drain.

The group rescued eight puppies Thursday, who are now each in warm foster homes.
