PECULIAR, MO (KCTV) -
The CassCounty Tactical Unit is scheduled to conduct training sessions, including response to active shooters, Wednesday at Raymore-Peculiar Academy.
The school district said area residents should not be alarmed if they see multiple law enforcement vehicles near the former freshman center, located just north of the Administrative Services Center on the main Raymore-Peculiar campus.
The training was scheduled more than one month ago, district officials said Tuesday, and will take place inside the facility from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The exercises are part of the district's ongoing collaboration with area law enforcement agencies.
Other organizations, including the Raymore and Peculiar police departments and Jackson County agencies, have also used the same facilities for officer training.
