Man critically hurt in stabbing on city's east side

KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

A person of interest is in custody after a man was stabbed Thursday morning on the city's east side.

Police were called about 8 a.m. to a home in the 6600 block of East 17th Street on a stabbing.

When officers arrived, they found a man in his 20s on the front porch suffering from a stab wound to the abdomen.

He was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.

Authorities said it appeared the man lived at the home and was stabbed by someone he knew.
