KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -
Firefighters rescued a man from the second story of a burning home early Tuesday morning.
Investigators are trying to determined what started the blaze near East 23rd Street and Brighton Avenue.
When crews arrived just after 2:30 a.m., most of the house was burning. It took firefighters just about an hour to put the fire out.
Authorities say the man rescued from the home was breathing when he was rushed to a hospital with life-threatening injuries suffered from burns.
