A teen is recovering from serious injuries after being hit by a vehicle Saturday afternoon.
At 1:22 p.m. Saturday, officers were dispatched to 154th Terrace and Blackfeather Drive on an injury accident involving a pedestrian.
Officers arrived and found a 16-year-old boy had been riding a skateboard westbound on 154th Terrace and struck the driver's side of a vehicle that was traveling southbound on Blackfeather Drive.
The boy was taken to Children's Mercy Hospital with serious injuries sustained as a result of the collision. The adult male driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and was not injured.
This case remains under investigation by the Olathe Police Department Traffic Unit. Anyone with information regarding the investigation is asked to call the Olathe Police Department at 913-971-6950 or the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-8477.
