KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

A police chase ended with a crash in a normally quiet neighborhood.

The pursuit started just after 8:30 p.m. Wednesday when officers responded to the area of Turner Diagonal and Kaw Drive on a reported injury accident.

While en route, officers were advised that the victim from the accident was removed from the scene and placed into a brown Ford Bronco.

Authorities continued to receive information on the SUV and it was located in the area of South 65th Street and Kansas Avenue, where police attempted to stop the vehicle.

Police said the SUV failed to yield and led officers on a lengthy vehicle pursuit. The vehicle finally crashed into three police cars at North 81st Terrace and Ella Avenue.

No one was seriously hurt, but officers say it could've ended much worse.

"You never know when you have a vehicle pursuit how it's going end up. This one ended up good for everyone," Officer Tom Asic said.

The driver and his female passenger were taken into custody at the scene and transported to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.

Anyone with information regarding the incident is urged to call the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-TIPS.
