Lawrence police arrest 3 for sexual assault on woman

LAWRENCE, KS (KCTV) -

Police in Lawrence have arrested three men for sexually assaulting a woman Tuesday night.

Officers were called to an apartment in the 1700 block of West 24th Street shortly before midnight.

Sgt. Trent McKinley, a Lawrence Police Department spokesman, said the victim was part of a group that had been drinking alcohol.

During the evening, three men had non-consensual sexual contact with the victim. Two of the men have been booked on a charge of rape, the other on a charge of aggravated sexual battery.
