KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -
Two brothers are in custody and could be facing charges after police said a drunken fight led to gunfire.
The incident began about 3 a.m. at a duplex near 75th and Cherry streets in Kansas City, MO. Two women were in the home when the fight broke out, and they ran to a nearby gas station to call police.
Responding officers heard more gunshots and called for backup.
The two men eventually surrendered and were taken into custody.
Officers said they're very thankful no one was hurt in the situation that could have turned violent quickly.
"Especially with this attached to another duplex with kids and parents inside, so yeah, thankfully no one was injured along with the suspects," Officer Darin Snapp said.
Police haven't released the names of the two men.
