Peanut Butter Kiss Cookies

1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup Crisco
1/2 cup peanut butter
1 egg
1 1/4 cup flour
3/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
Chocolate kisses
Cream sugars, Crisco and peanut butter. Beat in egg. Add dry ingredients. Roll dough into balls and bake for 7-8 minutes -- press on chocolate kisses and bake for additional 2 minutes.
