Several police agencies pursue stolen rental van, suspect in custody

INDEPENDENCE, MO (KCTV) -

Several agencies assisted Friday afternoon in a police pursuit in eastern Jackson County of a stolen rental van.

The Budget Rental Truck was reported stolen from Blue Springs. The pursuit wound through Blue Springs, Lee's Summit and Independence.

Missouri Highway Patrol and the Jackson County Sheriff's Office assisted in the chase, which ended at Little Blue Parkway and R.D. Mize Road.

The driver of the vehicle was taken into custody after stop sticks were used. This occurred about 3 p.m. Wednesday.
