Police seek man who robbed KC motel

KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

Police are looking for a man who fired a gunshot while he robbed a motel in south Kansas City early Wednesday morning.

The robbery happened shortly after 6 a.m. at the America's Best Inn located 11801 Blue Ridge Blvd., which is just east of U.S. Highway 71.

Police say the suspect fired a gunshot through a window during the robbery.

The motel clerk was not injured during the incident, but an ambulance was called to check on her condition.

Police say the suspect was a man of an average build, 6' to 6'2" tall and wearing a brown Carhartt jacket.
