KANSAS CITY, KS (KCTV) -
Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect in a rape Tuesday morning.
The rape happened about 7:30 a.m. at a residence in the 7200 block of Leavenworth Road.
Police did not say whether the victim was a woman or a girl. Police also declined to say whether the victim or suspect lives at the residence.
Washington High School is near the residence and the attack reportedly happened about the time classes start.
Police said they are working to determine whether this was a stranger rape, and citing the investigation declined to provide any details about the nature of the attack.
The suspect is described as 5'7" tall and medium build with a "chin strap" beard. He was wearing a black baseball cap, black pants and a Kansas City jacket similar to the one depicted in this picture. The suspect left the area on a BMX-style bicycle.
