Armed suicidal holed up inside Kansas City home surrenders

KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

A suicidal man is in the hospital after he surrendered to authorities, ending a three-hour standoff with police.

Officers were dispatched at 4:35 p.m. Monday to a residence in the 200 block of East 80th Terrace. When the man refused to leave the house, extra officers were called in by the dozens.

The man was armed with a gun holed up alone inside a home, police said.
