KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -
A 26-year-old Kansas City woman has been charged in the shooting death of her live-in boyfriend earlier this month.
Tyree Patterson-Terrill faces second-degree murder and armed criminal action charges in the death of Anthony Medellin.
The 28-year-old was found shot to death dead inside an apartment in the 4300 block of Northern Avenue on a shooting.
According to court records, police were called Nov. 4, to the apartment on a shooting.
Patterson-Terrill told police at the scene that the victim had busted open the bathroom door and hit her and burned her face with a cigarette.
She said she later locked the bathroom and the victim busted open the bathroom door and came toward her. She said she fired one shot at him.
Patterson-Terrill requested medical attention and paramedics told police she made no complaints of pain or injury other than stomach pain.
Prosecutors requested a bond of $150,000.
