5 students injured following school bus wreck in KCK

KANSAS CITY, KS (KCTV) -

Five middle school students were taken to the hospital after suffering minor injuries during a school bus accident in the Turner School District early Monday morning.

The accident happened just after 7 a.m. near the intersection of South 55th Street and Metropolitan Avenue.

There were 15 students on the bus, all heading to Turner Middle School, which is only about a block away from where the accident happened.

All five of the students were transported to area hospitals as a precaution.

The school bus was involved in the accident with a white pickup. Neither driver was injured in the accident.
