Thieves broke into Brookside Jewelry, which is at 306 W. 63rd. The business's alarm system was triggered at 4:30 a.m.
The bandits broke through the front glass door and stole the contents of several jewelry cases. Police said they were waiting to get an itemized list of the stolen merchandize from the jewelry store owner.
Brazen bandits stole more than $500,000 in jewelry from a Noble House jewelry store in Overland Park last month. No arrests have been made.
Police have not said whether they think Friday's Brookside jewelry store burglary is related to the Overland Park heist. To read previous coverage, click here.
