Section of northbound Interstate 35 shut down in Johnson County

LENEXA, KS (KCTV) -

A crash has shut down northbound Interstate 35 in Johnson County near 87th Street.

The crash happened about 5:15 p.m. and involved at least two vehicles. Chopper5 was over the scene as firefighters worked to pry at least one person from a wrecked vehicle.

No word on the injuries or when the scene will be clear.

Motorists should avoid this area.
