Area kids attempt LEGO world record brick by brick

Posted: Updated:

Children in Kansas City and around the world attempted to set a world record Thursday morning.

25 area youth meet at LEGOLAND Discovery Center at Crown Center at 6 a.m. to set a record for the most number of people to create a toy at one time.

Each child built their own LEGO Christmas train, joining seven other LEGOLAND Discovery Centers around the world to set the Guinness World Record for the largest LEGO building class.

Officials believe they set the record but are waiting for official Guinness World Record confirmation.
