KANSAS CITY, KS (KCTV) -
The big day for Google Fiber and people living in one KCK neighborhood has arrived.
The super-fast fiber service went online in Hanover Heights on Tuesday.
A few test homes have had the service for nearly two weeks, but technicians have been working out problems and bringing the infrastructure into homes nearby.
Once all the subscribers in Hanover Heights have their service, customers in the Dub's Dread neighborhood will get their internet.
Devon Teran was the first Google Fiber customer to have the service.
"We knew we were in the trial phase, but we didn't know we would be first until they actually showed up to install," Teran said.
