Woman pulls gun on other driver on Highway 69

A man said a case of road rage turned into a woman pulling a gun on him Thursday night on U.S. Highway 69.

"It kind of freaked me out a little bit, or a lot actually. It's not something you see every day in southern Overland Park, to have someone point a gun at you," Riley Young said.

But that's what Young said happened to him Thursday as he was heading south on U.S. Highway 69 highway near 151st Street. He first noticed a black Cadillac driving erratically behind him a few miles back.

"She's driving back and forth trying to weave in and out. I've got four cars in front of me and I'm already going faster than what we should have been doing and I can't really do anything," he said.

When Riley exited at 151st Street he was turning right and the Cadillac next to him was turning left. When he looked over he says a woman, 22-year-old Nora Quinn, was pointing a gun right at him.

"I put my foot on the gas and went. If someone is going to shoot at you, it's going to happen," Riley said.

Riley said he was able to turn around and see where the car went. He called 911 and officers caught up to Quinn at a car wash at 151st Street and Metcalf Avenue. Inside her vehicle they found a knife and a loaded handgun.

Quinn is now charged with aggravated assault.

"There's a ton of road rage that goes on and some of it settles itself - you just leave the situation - but, if someone points a gun at you, I don't think that's appropriate. I mean that's threatening your life," Riley said.

Quinn has bonded out of jail, but she's been ordered to stay away from Riley and guns.
