KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -
About a half hour after a Kansas City area high school was evacuated due to reports of the smell of natural gas in the building, students and staff were told they could return to classes.
The Lincoln College Preparatory Academy, located at 2111 Woodland Ave. in Kansas City, MO was evacuated just before noon Thursday.
The Kansas City Fire Department's Hazardous Materials crew and Missouri Gas Energy crews arrived on the scene to investigate and found that the smell was caused by a crew working on the ventilation system on the school's roof.
