Crash kills woman in Kansas City, Kansas

KANSAS CITY, KS (KCTV) -

Teresa Ruiz, 67, of KCK, is dead after a crash Monday afternoon.

Authorities said a medical condition may have contributed to the crash. This occurred at 6:05 p.m. at West Pennway and Summit.

Ruiz apparently lost control while rounding a corner on south Summit. The vehicle left the road and hit a large tree near a parking lot.

She was taken to an area hospital, where she later died.
