Firefighters battling possible meth lab fire in east KC

KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

Firefighters are battling a large house fire that may have had a possible methamphetamine lab inside, authorities say.

The fire started about 12:25 p.m. Monday in the 2300 block of Montgall Avenue on the city's east side.

Flames and heavy smoke was showing when firefighters arrived on the of the burning two-story house.

Shortly after arriving firefighters were forced to evacuate the building.
