Missing Leawood man with dementia found

LEAWOOD, KS (KCTV) -

A missing 70-year-old Leawood man with dementia has been reunited with family after reported missing for more than eight hours.

A Sliver Alert issued for Robert Bradley "Brad" Hansen was canceled about 1:30 a.m. Wednesday after he was found in the area of East 56th Street and Brookside Boulevard.

Hansen was last seen walking away from his home in the 2800 block of West 91st Terrace about 5 p.m. Tuesday. He battles dementia and takes medication for Alzheimer's and a heart condition. 

Hansen's wife said he likes to go on walks but normally returns before dark. He did have a cell phone but his wife believed it was turned off.
