KANSAS CITY, KS (KCTV) -
Some employees and visitors in the Wyandotte County Courthouse were evacuated as a precaution after smoke alarms sounded Friday morning.
This happened about 10:30 a.m. Authorities said welders in the basement created smoke that set off the alarms and water used exacerbated the smoke.
The evaluation occurred as a precaution until the smoke dissipated and the cause was determined. People are being allowed back into the courthouse.
This incident took about 30 minutes.
