Traffic slow on Heart of America bridge after someone jumped off it

KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

Police and firefighters are searching the Missouri River and its banks after someone reportedly jumped off the Heart of America bridge.

This occurred just before 3 p.m. Traffic is backed up as lanes are reduced. Motorists are urged to avoid the area.

Authorities have yet to find anyone.
