INDEPENDENCE, MO (KCTV) -
Authorities are investigating after man told police he was pistol whipped.
Police responded to a call of shots fired about 6:45 a.m. to the 13000 block of East 39th Street Court.
When officers arrived, they found a man who came out of the woods and had blood on his head.
The man told police that he had been pistol whipped.
Authorities transported him to the hospital for treatment.
No other details are available at this time.
