FBI seeks suspect in Waldo bank robbery

KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

The FBI is seeking the public's assistance in locating the man who allegedly robbed a Waldo Bank.

A federal arrest warrant has been issued from the Western District of Missouri charging Edwin Williams Jr. with one count of bank robbery and one count of use of a firearm during a bank robbery.

Williams is believed to be involved in the Oct. 16 robbery at U.S. Bank, 221 West Gregory Blvd., in Kansas City, MO.

The FBI said he entered the bank about 9:40 a.m. and displayed a weapon, demanding money.  He then fled in a gray pickup in an unknown direction with an undisclosed amount of money. No injuries were reported.

Authorities describe Williams as approximately 5'10" tall, 150 pounds and known to wear a gray-colored Kansas City Royals baseball cap. The FBI said he should be considered armed and dangerous.
