KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -

One suspect in the hospital and another is in police custody after a break-in at a storage shed at a Kansas City school Monday morning.

When police responded about 3:20 a.m. to the Barstow School, located at 11515 State Line Rd., they found the two suspects on a gravel road near the baseball fields.

Officers said one suspect was standing near the gravel road and the other had been pinned underneath a medium-size maintenance vehicle.

Authorities said the suspects had allegedly broken into a large storage shed near the school and stole the maintenance vehicle, and while driving the vehicle, it rolled on top of one of the suspects.

Rescue crews arrived and removed the suspect from underneath the vehicle. The suspect was transported to an area hospital for a possible broken leg.

The other suspect was arrested and for questioned in the burglary investigation.
